Matthew

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), State of Ohio

I have experienced the power of walking with a counselor and friends to heal past hurts and build a path filled with hope. That is my heart for every client: that they would be unconditionally loved and accepted regardless of how they have been harmed by themselves or others. You deserve a safe space to speak the unspeakable that you may cultivate healing to your very core. That leads to a life filled with joy and influence.

How he works

Sessions draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — practical, evidence-based work with the thought patterns that keep pain in place — and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which looks underneath conflict and distance to the needs driving them. What that looks like depends entirely on what you bring.

Sessions with me are unhurried and honest. We go at your pace. Everything you share will be held with grace and understanding.

About faith

Faith-based integration is available if — and only if — you want it. It is never assumed, never a prerequisite, and never introduced unless you ask for it. Clients of any faith or none receive the same care.

Faith is a meaningful part of my own story, and if it’s part of yours, we can bring it into our work together. If it isn’t, we still approach things based on your values and unique perspective.
